How it works

1. Remote 3D design

We model your actual roof — pitch, shading, orientation — and size the system for self-consumption. No in-home sales visit.

2. Rebates handled

BC Hydro pre-approval, Peak Saver enrollment, the PST exemption and interconnection paperwork — all managed for you.

3. Certified install

HPCN-certified Red Seal electricians pull the TSBC permit, build it, and see BC Hydro inspection through.

Why battery-first now

On 1 July 2026 BC Hydro closed legacy net metering to new customers. New systems fall under Rate Schedule 2289, which pays about 10¢/kWh for exported power — less than you pay to buy it back.

So exporting surplus no longer pays; storing it does. We design battery-first for self-consumption, which also keeps your fridge, heat and lights running through a winter outage — automatically, no generator.

What you can claim

• BC Hydro solar rebate — $1,000/kW installed, up to $5,000 residential ($10,000 for eligible businesses), capped at 50% of cost.
• BC Hydro battery rebate — $500/kWh, up to $5,000 residential with Peak Saver ($1,500 without). Must pair with solar.
• PST exemption — qualifying solar equipment is PST-exempt in BC.
• Federal Clean Tech ITC — 30% investment tax credit plus 100% first-year write-off for eligible businesses.
